and returned to camp (uncomfortable with conditions/exposure - had already
decided not to proceed past glacier evening before). Reached high point
around 19,500 ft. Total time: 3 hours - 2 up, 1 down. On trekking expedition
with KE Adventure. 4 of 7 clients completed summit. |

trailhead near Spray River Bridge in Banff.
From lower trail to first cliffbands to the central gully to the forested ridge to the "Dragon's
Back" and finally the push to the summit. Average round-trip time is about 8 hours. Distance is 7 miles. We turned back at the tree line, at the
beginning of the rock/scree (about two hours in) due to worsening knee pain
(Gina). Climbed with my wife, Gina. |
