A pumpkin for our pumpkin - Kailey's first Halloween

We've seen more signs of improvement with the acid reflux. We're now trying to make the difficult decision of milk vs formula. She definitely does better on formula...but is it just for this stage of her development...until the medicine has had plenty of time to help with the reflux...or is she allergic to something in the milk...If we stay with formula, which kind?

So, we decided to take a nice break from all of that and carve Kailey's first pumpkin. She enjoyed it. Then she wanted a nap.

What happened to Kailey?

Hi everyone! Thanks so much for your help and prayers these past four weeks! Most of you know why we haven't been posting pictures...no time and even less energy :). Kailey has had major acid reflux issues and so has been crying pretty much non-stop. We really do feel like we're just in survival mode. Working on a website becomes really unimportant (so life does go on without web blogs...who knew?).

Anyway, we're on our second medication and are lined up to see a specialist. We've seen some improvements, so hoping for the best.

Despite inconsistent sleep, Kailey is showing all of the signs of a healthy baby. She's gone from 7 lbs, 6ozs to about 11 lbs in just under 8 weeks. At her last appointment, she was in the 50th percentile for weight, 80th for height and 85th for head circumference (what does that mean!?! - hopefully a big brain and so a college scholarship).

Here are a few shots from the past few weeks.

Dinnertime!

She looks like she's outgrowing something in this picture - her clothes, her diaper, the crib, the blanket? At least she's content.

Bottoms up!

Were would we be without the swing?

"I shouldn't have had that last ounce of milk!"
